FRENCH FOR HORSE DROPS ARTHUR COMEAU “GRAND PRIX” REMIX

RADIO RADIO CO-FOUNDER GIVES PLAID IN FULL TRACK THE WAVY TREATMENT

With summer in full swing, FRENCH FOR HORSE drops an ARTHUR COMEAU remix of “Grand Prix. Listen HERE and buy it HERE.

While the original version – first released on the debut French For Horse EP, Plaid In Full (Acadian Embassy/Black Buffalo Records, April 2026) – centers on smooth grooves, a liquid bass line, and breezy textures, the Arthur Comeau remix amps up arpeggiated synths and dives deeper into its Acid Jazz influences. Where “Grand Prix” evokes imagery of driving a convertible along the Riviera at sunset, the remix transports that same car to the coastal highways of Nova Scotia, trading the sunset for a wavy neon glow. If Drive was set in Clare or Wedgeport, “Grand Prix” (Arthur Comeau Remix) would be the soundtrack.

The collaboration between French For Horse and Arthur Comeau is a natural fit. Both ambassadors for acajonne electronic subculture, the eclectic musicians/producers buck the stereotypes of ‘traditional’ Acadian music opting instead to explore their cultural identity on their own terms.

The “Grand Prix” remix drops ahead of two French For Horse DJ sets in Halifax on National Acadian Day, August 15, at the Stillwell Beer Bar as part of the Grou Tyme festival. Its release also comes on the heels of national airplay for the EP track, which was featured on programs such as CBC Music’Drive, and ICI Première’s Nouveaux sons and L’effet Pogonat

“Grand Prix” (Arthur Comeau Remix) is available today, Tuesday, July 07, via Acadian Embassy.
