GRANT WRITING MASTERCLASS
This in-person masterclass not only helps you navigate grant writing, it provides you with access to an expert to guide you through drafting, refining, and submitting your upcoming application.
Led by Trevor Murphy, this masterclass offers:
- An intensive in-person workshop exploring best practices, tips & tricks, and lessons learned from nearly 15 years of grant submissions that will equip you to write your first draft (3 hours)
- A virtual one-on-one session to provide tailored feedback on your draft (1 hour)
- Personalized notes via Google Docs on your final draft at least 1 week before the submission deadline

Whether it’s your first time writing a grant or you’re looking to refine your skills to make a more compelling argument for funding, this masterclass is open to all levels of experience. Individual sessions can also be conducted in French.
MASTERCLASS TIMELINE:
- January 20: In-Person Workshop – 6:00pm-9:00pm @ Local Council of Women Halifax (989 Young Avenue Halifax, NS)
- January 21-February 04: Workshop participants write the first draft of their grant application
- February 05: First draft submitted for review
- February 09-13: 1-on-1 virtual meetings offering feedback on first draft
- February 14-24: Workshop participants rework draft based on feedback received
- March 02-09: Notes on your final draft provided via Google Docs
- March 10-15: Workshop participants submit their application to relevant program
