MAUDE SONIER<\/strong> is one of 21 artists who will perform at the 29th edition of Francouvertes<\/strong><\/a> – the prestigious Montr\u00e9al, QC competition-showcase focused on French musical discoveries presented by SiriusXM<\/strong>.
<\/strong>
Among the cohort unveiled this week, the singer-songwriter from New Brunswick is the only artist from Atlantic Canada<\/strong><\/em> who will be part of this year’s edition. Her first showcase takes place Tuesday, March 18<\/span> at the Lion d’Or.

On the heels of this news, Maude Sonier also announces her arrival at Acadian Embassy – the Nova Scotian-based music company – who welcomes her to their management roster.

All of these exciting developments come nearly a year after the release of Maude\u2019s debut EP, Demi-tour<\/em><\/strong><\/a>. The album, produced by Katrine No\u00ebl<\/strong> (Les Hay Babies<\/strong>) and Mico Roy<\/strong> (Les H\u00f4tesses d\u2019Hilaire<\/strong>), highlights her warm voice, authentic presence, and unparalleled charisma all in an alternative-pop universe.

Ahead of her participation at Les Francouvertes, Maude Sonier launches a live video for her song “La neige.”<\/a><\/strong><\/p>

This performance of the first track from Demi-tour<\/em> was recorded during her album launch at the Aberdeen Cultural Centre in Moncton, NB in \u200b\u200bOctober 2024. This live version features the backing band assembled by Maude for her release party which includes Chlo\u00e9 Breault<\/strong>, Matt Boudreau<\/strong> and Maxence Cormier<\/strong> of Baie<\/strong> as well as Maxime Boudreau<\/strong> of MESSE<\/strong>.<\/p>
