Centered around the\u00a0guzheng<\/strong>,\u00a0a traditional Chinese zither,\u00a0XIA-3 is a groundbreaking trio led by award-winning virtuoso\u00a0Jing Xia<\/strong>, with powerhouse support from well-established St. John\u2019s punk rockers\u00a0Ritche Perez<\/strong>\u00a0(baritone guitar) and\u00a0Brian Downton<\/strong>\u00a0(drums). Kindred spirits eager to defy convention, XIA-3 reimagines ancient musical traditions to create electrifying East-meets-West soundscapes that seamlessly\u00a0weave\u00a0world music, metal, jazz, prog, experimental rock, and more.\u00a0

Borne of Jing Xia’s dream of blending her Chinese heritage with contemporary genres, XIA-3 embodies\u00a0a dynamic and\u00a0unexpected fusion of cultures and sounds.
