QUIET PARADE RETURNS WITH NEW SINGLE, “EMPIRE”

“Overwhelmed by the weight of the world and your ear to the ground.”

Ahead of a sold out show in Halifax, NS at The Carleton, and just in time for Bandcamp Friday, QUIET PARADE returns with “Empire.Stream it HERE or buy it directly from the Acadian Embassy website HERE

The brand new single from the fog-rock four piece marks their first release in nearly five years. Both in tone and spirit, “Empire” is a natural successor to 2020’s The Will To Weather The Storm – an LP released in the earliest days of the pandemic when anxiety clouded any sense of a guiding light.

“Empire” harkens back to these days of uncertainty while also making peace with a clear division drawn across the timeline. Openly accepting the separation between one’s past self and their current self (“It’s not who I am / It’s who I used to be”), the lyrics are a call to revel in the memory of a singular moment in time all while embracing the necessity of closing that chapter definitively.

“Empire” was recorded and mixed by Palmer Jamieson at the Golden Palm in Halifax, NS, produced by Quiet Parade, and mastered by Kristian Montano at Montano Mastering. The artwork photo and graphic design are by frequent Quiet Parade collaborator, Jeff Pineau.

“Empire” is available today, Friday, March 07, via Acadian Embassy.
