“Broken Love” Official Video:

Biography:
Drenched in coastal haze, Still Waking Up pulsates with an urgent thunderous drive. The sophomore full-length from Rain Over St. Ambrose reverberates with anthemic sing-alongs, swampy fuzzed-out riff rock, and swirling synths. From the buzzsaw guitars of “29 Takes,” to the falsetto backups on the hook-heavy “Petty Thief,” to the stoner-infused breaks on “Broken Love” and “Death of a Salesman,” the album is enormous in tone and uninhibited in its approach. Raw, contemplative, and feverish, Still Waking Up once again showcases the band’s commitment to honest, from-the-gut rock and roll.

Produced by Tim D’Eon (Wintersleep) and recorded by Diego Medina at the Old Confidence Lodge in Riverport, NS, the album was mixed at the Castle of Doom in Scotland by Tony Doogan (MogwaiBelle and SebastienHey Rosetta!) and mastered at Sterling Audio in New York by Greg Calbi (War on DrugsSt. VincentPaul Simon).

Still Waking Up – Press Quotes:

…full of great little moments… as if each of [the songs] are fighting to be the tiny anthem that gets stuck in your head.” – Exclaim!

…follows the tried-and-true St. Ambrose blueprint of chunky guitars and fist-pumping choruses, all topped off with singer Cory LeBlanc’s gutsy howl… Still Waking Up and Rain Over St. Ambrose exist at the intersection of edginess, authenticity, and approachability – yep, these dudes are Canadian all right.” – AUX

…a severe punch of danceable rock.” – CBC Music

…bold, blistering, and beautiful.” – Dusty Organ

Still Waking Up frappe avec son hybride pop et hard rock, où les hameçons mélodiques se heurtent à un mur de guitare de la taille des marées de la Baie de Fundy.” – BRBR

With its combination of heavy and heavenly, the band has the precious ability to present songs with both guts and melody to spare… they certainly put the Yar in Yarmouth.” – CBC’s Bob Mersereau

…the perfect choice to add to your summer playlists.” – Canadian Beats

…more cosmopolitan than ever.” – The Chronicle Herald

…thunderous and intricate instruments and soulful and raw vocals.” – Nexus Newspaper
