Coinciding with National Acadian Day, Halifax-based independent label Acadian Embassy has announced its brand new website.
In addition to the new site, the label has also unveiled the first video in a multi-part, roster-inclusive series that will be rolled out over the next four months. This video, shot by Analog Songs, features Quiet Parade performing their song “Ghosts” in Canada’s oldest standing courthouse – a National Historic Site located in Tusket, NS. Last week, Music Nova Scotia announced that all four Acadian Embassy acts – AA Wallace, Kuato, Quiet Parade and Rain Over St. Ambrose – will showcase in Sydney, NS during Molson Canadian Nova Scotia Music Week. The label will also showcase its roster in Yarmouth, NS this October.

AA WALLACE: Fresh off festival performances at Evolve and Feels Good FollyFest, Wallace will be heading to Toronto at the end of the month to make his full-band Toronto debut. He performs at The Garrison on Thursday, August 29 with Valerie Dour and Coronado.

KUATO: The post-rock quintet recently recorded their debut full-length album at The Old Confidence Lodge with Diego Medina. The record is currently being mixed, and is anticipated for release in Winter 2013. It will be available for purchase digitally and on 12″ vinyl.

QUIET PARADE: The bleeding-heart pop rockers have kept busy performing shows throughout rural Nova Scotia, particularly on the South Shore, this summer. Following their showcase at Nova Scotia Music Week, the band will embark on a Maritime tour with the award-winning Ria Mae.

RAIN OVER ST. AMBROSE: The Yarmouth-based rockers have been locked away working on new material. This month the band confirmed that they will begin recording the the follow-up to their debut, Truth For News, this Fall. Yarmouth-native Tim d’Eon (Wintersleep) has been tapped to produce the record, which will be recorded at The Old Confidence Lodge in Riverport, NS
